Shezhang Lin is an Image Analysis Lead at 3D Lab/Intelligent Imaging Computational Core, Center for Intelligent Imaging, Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging. He is responsible for daily CT/MR 3D imaging procedures for diagnosis and treatment planning. Additional roles include:
1. 3D clinical and research project development with radiologists and other specialists
2. 3D project database development to standardize and maintain the quality at a higher level
3. Internal consultation, education and training in 3D image analysis and visualization for fellows, residents, technologists

Shezhang earned his MD degree at Fudan University Shanghai Medical College with US-ECFMG Certification (1998). He completed residency in radiology at Peking Union Medical College Hospital and internship at Catholic Health Partners/Northwestern University, McGaw Medical Center (1999). He has over 20 years of experience in 3D imaging research and clinical application as research fellow/assistant professor at Northwestern University, assistant professor Georgetown University, 3D specialist at Harvard-BIDMC, and chief radiologist/director of 3D Imaging at Haikou Hospitals in Haikou, China.

Dr. Lin joined the UCSF Radiology 3D service in 2017 as an Image Processing Analyst and was promoted to Image Analysis Lead in 2020, with significant 3D project improvement, especially in surgical/procedure planning and follow-up for aortic aneurysms/dissection, AFIB, TAVR, TMVR, CHD, DIEP/breast reconstruction, 3D printing clinical application, and others (see 3D Lab webpage).
